Inventor Publisher for Product Lifetime

Inventor Publisher can create disassembly instructions and service documentation to keep your products alive longer. Learn how the Bloom laptop team used it to help communicate their design.

Inventor Publisher has an easy and intuitive interface. Explore the basic interface elements and how they are used to manipulate parts and build animations.

With Inventor Publisher you can communicate the most important elements of your design by modifying its visual appearance or adding call-outs. Discover how to improve your design communication and export animations in different formats.

Detail Views enable you to focus attention on important aspects of your design and Section Views support the creation of cross-sections of the geometry. Learn to use Inventor Publisher to easily explain the more nuanced aspects of your design.

The Bloom laptop is a design concept developed to help address the growing problem of e-waste. Created by a team of students from Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA and Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, the laptop can be easily disassembled, repaired, and recycled at its end-of-life.

The student team used Autodesk® Inventor® Publisher software to visualize their design and illustrate how the components are disassembled. Inventor Publisher is a great tool for design documentation and communication, and is useful for creating repair instructions to help keep your products alive longer. It can be used in conjunction with Autodesk® Inventor® software, or other CAD packages like Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks, and CATIA®.

This series of demos introduces you to the basic interface and features of Inventor Publisher to help you get started quickly and use it on your own projects.
